Bridgeview Coffee is owned and operated by Kentucky natives, Shane and Sheryl Furlong.
Shane was born and raised in Henderson and graduated from Henderson County High School
in 1982. Sheryl is from Lexington, they have three children. For most of their marriage they
lived away from Kentucky as Shane's career, first in the US Army and then in the software
business, has kept them in far away place. Through it all they never lost the desire to return
and become a part of the community of Henderson. In 2003 they started working on the idea
that has become Bridgeview Coffee.
They spent more than a year planning and designing Bridgeview Coffee before its opening
on September 1, 2005. During that year they investigated the best possible ingredients,
recipes and equipment available and put all of that planning, thought and money into the
double drive-thru on the corner of 2nd and Green. The gourmet coffee business has
exploded in the past few years in the United States and they wanted to bring that gourmet
experience to Henderson to share with all of their friends and family. They decided early on
that if they were going to do this they wanted to do it right so they planned to find the best
suppliers, the best equipment and most of all brew and extract the best coffee and espresso in
town. They hope you'll be pleased with the results.
The best products needed the best location and they think they found it in an empty lot
sitting at the intersection of 2nd and Green Streets in downtown Henderson. The concept of a
double drive-thru was picked to make the most of this small lot and deliver the most
convenience for their customers. You can be sure that your experience at Bridgeview Coffee
